Forend is heavily ribbed for great grip even under severe conditions. Forend handguard comes with spacer and barrel nut tool. Fore-end will work on Mossberg slide tube assemblies that have a length of 6 3/4" or 7 1/4". Most youth model Mossberg 500 models have a 4 1/2" slide tube. The fore-end will not work on these. Will not work on Mossberg Flex shotguns. Please note that the shipping tabs have to be removed prior to installation.
