C96 Bolo Mauser Long Barrel Model C96 Pistol 475230

Broomhandle Bolo Long Barrel Mauser Collectible Pistol. Pictures do not do this pistol justice. All visible numbers match. There is no rust or pitting on this pistol. This pistol has not been wiped down or cleaned, the arsenal oil is just as it came out of the crate. Bolo Mauser pistol is very collectible and shows honest use but not abused. Wood pistol grips show use and wear do not appear cracked or broken. Great patina on this beauty with most of the blue worn off, barrel bore is dark with little rifling. Pictures are of the actual firearm for sale.
This must be shipped to a FFL dealer for transfer and is a C and R item. Another tickbitesupply.com hard to find item. We believe the caliber to be 7.63x25 and as with any pistol it should be checked to verify this and checked by a gunsmith before firing as these are just as they came out of the crate, they have not been checked, cleaned or tested. This has just been released from arsenal storage in the US, it was imported many years ago. Assume that the numbers do not match as we are not able to break these down to check each numbered part. These are just as they come out of the arsenal crate from long term storage. Complete that collection while you can, these are sure to continue climbing in collector value!
Info and General History About the Bolo Mauser:
Mauser began making this compliant version of the C96 for commercial sale in 1920-1921. Bolo's have smaller grips, shorter 3.9" barrel and chambered for the 7.63x25 standard Mauser round. Large scale production was from 1921-1930. These were sold in large numbers in the Baltic region, used by the Poles, Lithuanians, German Freikorps and White Russians. The Bolshevik (soon to be Soviet Union) goverment purchased large numbers of these in the 1920's. This pistol became associated with the Bolsheviks and was nicknamed the Bolo. There was also a version that used the "Bolo" frame but with a longer (132mm) barrel.
